Position Summary:

The Marketing and Outreach Coordinator, a member of the Development Department, supports the Care Clinic's communications, marketing, and outreach needs. This role promotes all departments and locations, supports fundraising campaigns and events, manages social media, and facilitates patient and staff communications. Upholding the ASQ (Access, Stewardship, and Quality) pillars, the coordinator ensures timely and inclusive communication strategies (Access), responsibly manages resources to maximize impact (Stewardship), and delivers high-quality materials and representation of the Care Clinic's mission (Quality). Reporting to the Director of Strategic Operations and Development, this position collaborates with departments to meet communication needs, represents the clinic at outreach events, and gains valuable nonprofit experience.

Essential Functions:

Marketing, Social Media, and Communications

* Created and executed annual marketing and communications strategies for each Care Clinic department to increase visibility in the community.

* Maintain social media presence and track related metrics to target efforts and results.

* Generate and distribute marketing and communication content, including but not limited to quarterly patient and donor newsletters, brochures, internal and external flyers, and event invitations.

* Create marketing material and manage accounts with local newspaper and radio ads.

* Manage photo shoots and video production scheduling and assist with content development, including visuals and storylines.

Events and Outreach: Provide support for outreach and fundraising events, including but not limited to:

* Support outreach activities, including assurance of staffing at community outreach events by development and/or program staff.

* Support members in the Development Department in planning and executing events and donor engagement activities, including but not limited to Soup for the Soul, Rally for the Cure, home receptions, donor recognition events, and community outreach activities.

Media Relations:

* Write, edit, and distribute press releases to local and regional media. Serve as a point of contact for the press, including responding to media inquiries, facilitating interviews with subject matter experts, and arranging media visits.

Donor Relations:

* Assists the Development Team in arranging logistics and assisting with producing materials for the annual fundraising campaign and other mailings as needed.

Staff and Volunteer Recruitment and Retention

* Collaborate with the HR Department to support recruitment and retention efforts, including posting opportunities on social media and supporting recruitment efforts.

* Support volunteer recruitment efforts to support development functions

* Collaborate with HR and/or Admin staff to support the implementation of staff appreciation efforts.

* Implement or support staff communication efforts (newsletter and/or other) regularly that support organization, HR, and other identified priorities.

Grants Support:

* Support grants by meeting marketing/outreach and reporting requirements associated with required grant deliverables for donors and patients.

* Supporting grant-related functions as assigned.

Database Functions:

* Maintain contact information within the Raiser's Edge Database for outreach purposes.

Other:

* Collaborate and be an active team member in the development department. The development department includes donor relations, marketing, events, fundraising, community outreach, grant writing, and grant management.

* Collaborative Planning: Maintain records on Monday.com and track goals and progress accordingly.

* Publications: Create the annual report, presentations, and other media, as needed.

* Special Projects: Support for special projects, as assigned.

* Other responsibilities, as assigned.

Additional Requirements:

* Complete all required training as designated by HR and the position supervisor.

* Adhere to all policies within the organization and those outlined within the SCCC Employee Handbook.

* Comply with all SCCC Vaccine mandates.

* Willingness to travel and work at other SCCC locations as determined by the supervisor.

* Comply with all applicable Credentialing and Privileging requirements in a timely manner.

* Embrace the SCCC Mission and Vision and agree to work within the SCCC Guiding Principles and the principles set by the position supervisor.

* Must participate in quality assurance/ improvement activities when applicable.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

Must Haves to be successful:

* A bachelor's degree with focus areas of communication and/or marketing is preferred.

* Attention to detail.

* A self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks independently.

* Demonstrates a professional demeanor when speaking to people in person, via the phone, and in electronic communications.

* Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Experience creating marketing content.

Nice to Haves:

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Experience using Raiser's Edge operating system.

* Experience using Canva

* Excellent MS Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro knowledge with an aptitude for learning new software systems.

Work Environment:

The work environment is in the administrative office of a healthcare clinic. The work can be fast-paced and involves communication with healthcare professionals. This role requires the ability to work autonomously and stay on task. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Offsite work is required, including community events and fundraisers. Work schedules are flexible to accommodate these activities.
