This is a 100% on-site position (Monday through Friday) that may require up to 25% travel.About the team and positionAs a Marketing Event Specialist, you will have the unique opportunity to represent ADESA at top customer and industry events. You are responsible for showcasing our company's brand and products in interesting and compelling styles so our brand is visible and front of mind to all participating attendees. While showcasing our brand at industry events, you will oversee experiential activations that will format awareness and increase consideration. Additionally, you will expose our brand at customer and employee appreciation meetings and events. Here you will manage experiential events to capsize long-term emotional connections that leave our customers and employees proud and satisfied to be brand partners.You will work closely with leadership and internal cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive marketing and education plans that support new or existing business. You must be a proven leader with a strong professional presence and have the ability to manage a variety of programs that meet/exceed business objectives while being accountable for delivering programs on brand, on time and on budget. We are seeking a charismatic marketer who enjoys collaborating and has a creative mindset. You enjoy a fast-paced environment and prefer the accelerated rate over the standard mundane rate. What you'll be doing
- Showcase the company brand through the execution of national marketing events and experiential activations.
- Support leadership in ongoing project management duties associated with large industry, customer and employee meetings and events.
- Assist in maintaining and managing promotional assets and supplies.
- Problem solving: Proactively work with team members to solve issues or elevate concerns.
- Maintain open communication by thoughtfully reaching out to leadership and team leads regarding the company's main initiatives.
- Foster a positive and engaging work environment, setting a high standard for attitude and performance.
- Embrace your mistakes! You'll inevitably make a few.
What you should have
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited undergraduate institution.
- At least two years of experience in a customer-facing role or working with teams.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Suited to working a traditional in-office 5-day a week professional environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time (some weekends may apply).
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Highly organized with an unflappable attention to detail.
- Proficient in Excel, Google Slides and Canva.
- Have a sense of humor. We're car remarketers, not brain surgeons.
