Location: Fargo,ND, USA
The YMCA is seeking a Marketing Specialist to assist the Vice President of Marketing in implementing marketing strategies for the recruitment and retention of members, program participants and employees as well as facilitate and track results from membership promotions and events.
* Work with Member and Program, Fundraising, Child Care, HR and Administration teams to produce and distribute all marketing-related communications including website, newsletters, social media, signage and other messaging in an effort to recruit and retain participants and highlight the departments offerings and impact
* Creates, maintains and manages all YMCA internal signage and marketing pieces including bulletin boards, posters, banners, lobby displays, display cases, etc. and any necessary collateral materials used by YMCA departments including templates, handbooks, flyers, newsletters, etc.
* Develops, coordinates, and administers promotions, advertisements, and public relations materials in accordance with set marketing plan
* Assists with planning and managing specific YMCA events, initiates activities and membership appreciation days. In addition, manages signage, takes photographs, etc. at YMCA events
* Facilitates YMCA booths or other involvement at community and corporate events, including Chamber events, health/benefit fairs, and corporate events
* Coordinates the development and maintenance of the YMCA website, mobile app and e-communications
* Contributes to the management of the YMCA social media platforms including the direction of all video assets
* Assists with writing and distribution of press releases, media alerts, newspaper articles, etc.
* Communicates YMCA marketing promotions and activities to all YMCA staff
* Assists with management of marketing budget GLs for assigned departments
* Works closely with assigned departments to collect, create, and distribute stories across the organization in an effort to highlight the YMCA's mission and impact
* Supervises, evaluates and gives guidance to marketing interns and other part-time marketing staff
1. 4-year degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, Writing, or a directly related field AND
2. 2 years of directly related experience
