Location: Quincy,MA, USA
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Layout of monument foundations - excavating and pouring of cement
* Move monuments for access for grave excavation
* Mixes epoxies and makes necessary repairs to granite
* From drawings specifications or blueprints, applies journeyman skills and knowledge in laying bricks, stone concrete blocks and tiles in the construction, alteration or repair of walls, floors, passageways or other structures;
* Constructs and repairs brick work in sewers, catch basins and manholes;
* Lays and sets cut stone
* Performs all phases of cement work
* Performs all skills and work related to cemetery maintenance, rakes leaves and assists in snow removal.
* Carries caskets to grave sites
QUALIFICATIONS AND ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:
* Knowledge of all cemetery sections and ability to read lot cards to determine proper layout of foundation
* Experience in proper use of slings and monument moving devices
* Ability to mix epoxies and make necessary repairs to granite
* Journeyman/Masonry status required
