This position will perform skilled masonry work in the construction, maintenance and repair of buildings and structures at the Minnesota Correctional Facility (MCF) - Moose Lake.
This position has direct contact with incarcerated individuals.
**Minimum Qualifications**
To be qualified for and considered for this position, applicants must meet all of the minimum qualifications listed below. Ensure that your resume contains descriptions of your work experiences sufficient for comparison against the requirements stated below and indicate the beginning and ending month and year for each job held
+ Completion of a registered apprenticeship program or journey-level status or 6,000 hours of experience as a bricklayer and/or stonemason. Please note, applicants with only non-union experience will be required to provide detailed work history and references at interview.
Applicants meeting the above qualification(s) will be further assessed on the following:
+ Skill in using saws, hammers, nails, bolts, or form hardware.
+ Skill in performing masonry work including building, altering, and repairing structures.
+ Knowledge of building and positioning forms for pouring concrete and dismantles forms.
+ Knowledge of mixing concrete and mortar.
+ Ability to grade dirt and concrete efficiently and accurately.
+ Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to schedule.

**Physical Requirements**
The completion of pre-placement physical components may be required prior to hire for this position. These components may consist of a tuberculosis screening.
