Title: Scientist - Spectrometrist Location: Naugatuck, CT Schedule: M-F Full Time Type: Contract (Long Term) Pay: $46-51/hour (Depending upon experience) Business: Specialty Chemicals Responsibilities: Mass Spectrometry - operation, execute general analysis as directed by Mass Spec head. REACH: European Regulatory compliance essential to do business in EU via Mass Spec experiments, interpretations. Interprets data, draws conclusions, communicates to internal customers verbally and in writing (formal scientific report). Administrative function including participation in Safety programs, performance culture, myHR, etc. This position provides clear opportunity for analytical scientific creativity for developing separations, determining ionization and analysis parameters, interpretation of results, and aligning with other scientists for data/report compilation. The analysis of complex mixtures inherently provides complexity to the task. Requirements: Ph.D. or equivalent, 5 years' experience or BS/MS 10 years' experience. Advanced expertise in various types of Mass Spectrometry (Competency with GCMS, GCMSMS, LCMSMS essential) Strong written and oral communication skills including live presentation. Basic expertise in Lubricant chemistry is a plus.
