Master SchedulerSeguin, TX ( TypeFull-timeDescriptionOVERVIEWCadrex is searching for an experienced Master Scheduler to manage the flow of materials from purchasing through production. Directs and coordinates activities of production scheduling, new order commitments, future state load capacity planning using available forecasting tools. Planning and developing the master production schedule for manufacturing products to meet delivery dates and/or achieve inventory levels or other distribution goals. In charge of managing department staff.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure accuracy of customer order commitmentsWorks with the purchasing department to ensure the timely delivery of quality parts/materials.Plans production control operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing productsParticipates in production decisions concerning new product linesUses product specifications and release dates to determine schedules and resource needsUse of available tools to ensure daily, weekly, monthly goals are clearly communicated to all production departmentsUtilizes knowledge of production specifications, manufacturing processes, materials availability, and application of mathematical planning tools to develop plansClosely monitor all instances of supply constraints and make suggestions for production shifts to ensure the budget is metWorks collaboratively with all departments to ensure any current/potential bottlenecks are being investigated and solutions proposedCompiles, stores, and retrieves other production dataPartners with Customer Service to correct or adjust shop orders and maintain schedulesManages department staff; responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees, coaching, and developing talent, addressing issues, and resolving problemsMonitors status of production results and prepares reports for Plant ManagerRequirementsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS8+ years' related experience/training may be substituted in lieu of degreeMust possess above average oral and written communication skills and demonstrated knowledge and understanding of manufacturing operations processes and inventory/production controlMust possess prior supervisory experienceStrong numeracy and analytical skillsGood problem-solving and time management skillsAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft OfficeSets and achieves challenging goalsDemonstrates persistence and overcomes obstaclesEDUCATIONBachelor's degree in related fieldLOCATIONOnsiteSCHEDULEM-FWORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration.
