First Episode Psychosis (FEP) Recovery Oriented Counselor FEP is a Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) approach to treating young people who have recently experienced their first episode of psychosis (FEP). The FEP Team offers young people an array of services, including low-dose medication management, Cognitive Behavioral Treatment for Psychosis, Family Education, Case Management, Supported Education and Employment, and Peer Support services. Service coordination is guided by the young person's voice and choice. FEP seeks to improve the quality of life of young people by instilling hope through empowerment to guide their own treatment, educating them about their psychosis, re-establishing relationships, and re-integrating them back into the community whether it's attending school or working. The Masters Level Therapist is a full-time position is to support both Delaware County and Chester County.
Position Summary: - The Masters Level Therapist will provide direct services to individuals, families, and groups through an evidence-based Coordinated Specialty Care program, specifically CBT-P and case management.
- Administer assessments for intake and outcome measures including: Quality of Life, Cognitive Functioning, Differential Diagnosis, and functional assessments related to community integration.
- Create, maintain, update and implement treatment plans according to the needs of the young people.
- Provide psychoeducation to young people and their families related to psychosis in an individual and/or group format.
- Coordinate care given by collaborating with FEP team members and multidisciplinary professionals to provide and facilitate care in accordance with policies and procedures, philosophy, and objectives of the Program Model and of Child and Family Focus.
- The FEP Therapist will empower young people to set and achieve recovery goals and empower young people to increase self-advocacy.
- Provide program outreach to the community to decrease the duration of untreated psychosis and to stimulate referral sources.
- Use and implement the 5 core values of Trauma-Informed Care in all work practices - Safety, Trustworthiness, Choice, Collaboration, & Empowerment.
Required Qualifications: - Master's Degree in Human Service or related field including psychology, counseling or social work
- Two or more years of experience in the Mental Health field
- Completion of 16 hour TFCBT online training
- Current child abuse, criminal and DPW FBI clearances
- Maintain valid driver's license and insurance
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience implementing CBT
- Experience working with transition aged youth (15-30)
- Experience working with Schizophrenia Spectrum population
- Crisis Management Experience
