Prepare and maintain manual & computerized records providing an accurate inventory. Complete PLEX transactions, follow operating procedures, standard work, and work instructions for all CZ & Shaping operations. Assist Crystal Growing and Shaping, as needed, including Inspection, QC, data entry, processing remelts, material handling (ingots, graphite, crystals, blanks), inventory (ingots, graphite, crystals, blanks), ordering supplies, maintaining Kanbans and general housekeeping (CZ, Shaping, DP Cell, Blanchard/Studer/Core Drill Cell). This position requires the use of effective technical mathematics and measurement tools in the performance of tasks.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Inspect and QC ingots, crystals, blanks, etc.* Creating and assigning jobs and job sets in PLEX for ingots, crystals, cores, and ringots.* Package, perform Plex transactions & ship ingots to Wilt.* Complex Plex transactions, create labels and ship ingots to QQE.* Perform Plex transactions and create labels to receive ringots & cores from QQE.* Assign Grow numbers to incoming ringots, cores and blanks, as needed, from outside suppliers such as SAS and Gritek.* Learn and become proficient in the Crest Clean operation and associated Plex transactions. Assume role of trainer for the Crest Cleaner.* Learn the basic operations of the DP Cell, including the operation of the Dalmec and the Plex transactions.* Monitor and correct the Missed True-Up report.* Learn basic CZ Growing operations and assist on the CZ Growing floor, as needed and time permits.* Monitor and maintain the CZ inventory.* Pack and send material between Silfex facilities, as needed.* Scrap graphite and other parts to the Growers, as needed.* Create training videos.* Operate lift truck and scissor lift.* Multitask on a continual basis and be able to prioritize daily tasks.* Manage on-time-delivery and consignment bin levels to customer requirement.* Maintain and improve and Inventory Turn goals.* Establish and maintain Kanbans.* Submit SysAid and L2L work orders, as needed.* Perform Inventory improvement projects as assigned.* Enter and Maintain Jobs in PLEX.* Monitor PLEX for aging jobs.* Learn and become proficient in PLEX, to be able to troubleshoot PLEX variances/inaccuracies for the entire CZ department (DP cell, crest cleaner, inventory inaccuracies, quality, crystal growing, jobs/job sets, production, etc.).* Manage Subcontractor production schedule and material flow* Coordinate material requirements between CZ and Shaping departments.* Monitor and maintain First Article requirements.* Perform Database updates for Production Reports daily.* Perform Job Completions daily.* Develops and maintains a working knowledge of the Silfex Quality Management System and properly apply Quality Procedures and Operating Procedures as appropriate.* Carries out special projects and all other appropriate and reasonable duties that may be assigned from time to time.* Follow all company safety policies and report any unsafe conditions to Value Stream Manager, Supervisor, EHS Manager, and/ or Director of Manufacturing* Assist in applying lean manufacturing concepts and 5S* Perform tasks/duties related to special projects or assignments* Perform other duties as assigned by department management* Ability to handle internal customer situations, which are sometimes time critical in a logical manner and resolve issues resourcefully and tactfully.* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.* Must be able to work effectively individually and in a team environment* Must be able to pay close attention to details* Must be able to perform successfully under minimum supervision* Coordinate with Eaton's Inventory Control Specialist to maintain the CZ inventory.* Operate Annealing Ovens.Culture:* Display a positive attitude and strong work ethic that reflects the Mission and Core Values of Silfex.* Create and maintain a culture where workplace safety is part of everything we do. Maintain these areas at the highest degree possible while responsibly escalating any maintenance issuesQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.* High School Diploma or equivalent.* Minimum 2 years of relative experience.* MRP (Materials Requirement Planning) is preferred.* Previous leadership experience is preferred.* Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus.* Desire and willingness to be held accountable for business results.* Strong Computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite.* PLEX experience is a plus.* CZ experience a plus.* Shaping experience, a plus.* Ability to handle internal customer situations, which are sometimes time critical in a logical manner and resolve issues resourcefully and tactfully.* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.* Must be able to work effectively individually and in a team environment* Must be able to pay close attention to details* Must be able to perform successfully under minimum supervisionPhysical Demands:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
