Please note: Interviews for these roles are anticipated to begin early in 2025.Summary:The Module Fabrication Materials Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient procurement, storage, and utilization of materials necessary for the fabrication of modules in our organization. This position requires a strong background in materials management, inventory control, and supply chain management.Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to identify and source materials required for module fabrication.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure cost-effective and high-quality materials.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure a steady supply of materials.
  • Establish and maintain an organized inventory system for all materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement reordering strategies to prevent stockouts.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Ensure that all materials meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Implement quality control processes and inspections for incoming materials.
  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to address any material-related issues.
  • Oversee the safe and efficient handling, storage, and transportation of materials within the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Implement best practices for material storage to prevent damage or degradation.
  • Monitor material costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Develop and manage the materials budget, tracking expenses and variances.
  • Implement cost-effective inventory management strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues or concerns.
  • Generate regular reports on material usage, inventory levels, and procurement activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all material-related transactions and documentation.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Materials Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in materials management or a related role, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to materials handling.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see and to perform repetitive motions.
  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
