Job Description:

POSITION PURPOSE:This position is responsible for organizing and delivering material for production job orders.The Material Coordinator may also assist with production tasks such as running machines and deburring parts. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:•Manage movement of arriving material within the facility.•Pull and prepare material required for each production job and deliver to the designated Machinist.•Communicate with internal departments.•Assist with the collection and distribution of job packets when changes are necessary.•Retrieve material from cut bay or warehouse when needed.•Safely and productively operate equipment, including forklift. •Adheres to all company standards and policies.•Ensure a clean and organized work environment.•Conducts himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.•Other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:•Ability to operate machines including, but not limited to bar code reader, computer terminal, other electronic devices, and forklift.•Understanding of all tools, gages, equipment, and other various instruments used to perform position.•Effective oral and written communications skills.•Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.•Tenacity in overcoming obstacles while maintaining productive and positive working relationships.•Ability to execute in a rapidly changing fast paced environment that requires strong team work.•Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the capacity to learn new systems. •Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.•Skill in performing accurate arithmetic functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; using decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios. •Specific material / inventory control knowledge.•May be expected to arrive early or stay late to ensure daily requirements are met.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Required:•2 plus years of relevant warehouse or inventory experience within a production environment. •Previous forklift certification.•Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk throughout the building.The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.The employee is required to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must regularly lift up to 60 pounds and move up to 100 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.The employee may be required to work with hazardous materials.The employee may be exposed to hot surfaces, hot air, electrical hazards, and flames.While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works with moving machinery and occasionally in outside weather.
