As a Material Coordinator, you will work with Procurement, Logistics, internal and third-party suppliers to acquire required raw materials, delivered with accurate lead time, to support ongoing resin manufacturing operations. You will compile data on order volume, production schedules and forecasts, and apply statistical methods to estimate future material requirements; comply with Corporate procedures and health, safety, and environmental requirements. Read on!Key ResponsibilitiesRequisition raw materials and establish sequential delivery dates according to job order priorities and material availability.Compile and maintain records, such as material inventory, product flow, cycle counting, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials.Support shipping process through coordination with logistics group for trip planning and order closing.Review master schedules and demand forecasts and confers with department supervisors to resolve material requirements to identify overdue materials and track materials.Provide feedback to operations planning, technical, and production on material shortages and inventory issues, as applicable.Complete reports, manage data and reporting and ad hoc projects as directed by ManagerProvide back up coverage for Production Scheduler when needed, and some weekend overtime is occasionally required.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or related technical degree,1+ years' experience, preferred in a manufacturing/supply chain setting.Oracle or SAP experience and advanced Microsoft Excel (can perform complex functions)Willing to become DOT certified in transportation of dangerous goods (TDG).Willing to obtain APICS certificationPPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
