THE ROLE: Goulds Water Technology, a Xylem brand, seeks to hire a Material Coordinator for the Xylem-AWS-Lubbock, Texas facility. As a member of the Production Planning Team, the Material Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the completion of machined components that are required for standard and/or emergency parts and pump shop orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a balance between shop efficiency and customer service requirements.
  • Issue MFG orders to machine shop foreman on a timely basis.
  • Update Machine Shop schedule based on need and priority
  • Resolves paperwork and logistic problems that interfere with the completion of items scheduled in the Machine Shop.
  • Maintain the accuracy of due dates and quantities on manufacturing orders, and purge completed manufacturing orders from the system.
  • Upon request, advise the status of orders in the Machine Shop.
  • Review Foundry Log to monitor the receipt of castings required to complete shop orders.
  • Attend production meetings to advise status of components in the Machine Shop.
  • Coordinate the machining schedule of large projects.
  • Research & Identify capacity constraints

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. with 5 years experience in Manufacturing/Production and Inventory Control
  • Problem solving skills and strong written and verbal communication skills required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be knowledgeable in MS Office applications
