DescriptionJob Summary: The Material Coordinator role will monitor manufactured, purchased and raw materials to ensure the proper components are in the correct location in the necessary order as dictated by the Production & Operations schedule. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure materials (manufactured internally as well as those produce and/or purchased externally from vendors) are delivered to the correct production location by the desired time as directed by the production operations schedule.
  • Produce/maintain documentation to track material location that can be viewed by others as needed at the version level.
  • Understand and communicate any delays from outside suppliers to scheduling as they relate to schedule.
  • Verify internal run order matches availability of materials, communicate with scheduling as needed.
  • Use available tools to verify materials needed to support production at the version level.
  • Responsible for informing leadership of any concerns that arise.
  • Deal directly with vendors look at skid flags, receiving docs, both our outsource partner as well as raw materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Outsource, Scheduling, Clients Services and Production.
  • Complete other tasks requested by Leader, be willing to learn additional task within E/P/S group.
  • RequirementsSkills Abilities Required:
  • Highly organized and effective time management, as well as a strong sense of urgency.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (with special emphasis in Excel) as well as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with interdepartmental functions (i.e. Client Services, Scheduling, Production, Outsource, and Warehouse).
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Proven skill in coordinating multiple stakeholders
  • Physical effort - refer to physical demand analysis.
  • Proficient/fluent with English language, both written and verbal.
  • Education and Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years manufacturing/production experience required.
  • Prior Direct Mail experience strongly preferred.
