job summary: A Material Coordinator is needed for an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment in the Dubuque, IA area. The Material Coordinator ensures the timely flow of materials, manages inventory accuracy, resolves shortages, coordinates production schedules, and supports supply chain functions within a manufacturing environment.location: Dubuque, Iowa job type: Contract salary: $17.25 - 20.99 per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities:
- Coordinate the flow of materials and fill Kanbans in the factory department, including shipping and receiving.
- Ensure production personnel have the parts needed to produce the desired product.
- Oversee inventory accuracy and on-time delivery, identifying and resolving issues related to production schedules.
- Ensure material logistics follow company Production Systems principles.
- Coordinate the execution of production plans within smaller factory groups.
- Procure, expedite, and manage the movement of rejected materials.
- Recommend procedures to maintain inventory accuracy and management.
- Identify root causes of material shortages and provide solutions.
- Create and distribute daily production schedules using the Master Schedule.
- Process inbound and outbound material transactions.
- Audit material replenishment cycles for accuracy and create replenishment plans with assistance.
