Job Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified Material Flow and Production Control Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing the material flow and movement strategy to support varying production levels while adhering to company processes. The ideal candidate will lead efforts in inventory management, support new product development, and collaborate with key departments-Supply Management, Order Fulfillment, and Manufacturing Engineering-to optimize asset utilization, capacity planning, material availability, and internal logistics.Duties: Including but not limited to:•Lead material flow and production control strategies to support varying build levels and optimize internal logistics.•Develop and execute inventory management plans, supporting product development and aligning with company initiatives.•Coordinate with Supply Management, Order Fulfillment, and Manufacturing Engineering to improve material availability and asset utilization.•Supervise a team of material flow engineers and production control staff, providing direction and support to achieve team goals.•Oversee the internal material flow to ensure alignment with production schedules.•Manage distribution, labor demand, and material requirements planning in line with manufacturing schedules.•Facilitate inventory accuracy through audits and implement corrective actions to improve material flow and production control processes.•Develop long-term goals to enhance production planning, control, and material flow.•Manage performance evaluations, succession planning, resource allocation, and budget oversight for the department.•Provide technical leadership and project management for high-complexity manufacturing initiatives.•Ensure equipment maintenance and capital asset utilization to maximize uptime.•Implement and monitor safety programs and maintain operational standards.Operations Leadership:•Monitor individual and team performance, taking corrective actions as necessary, including handling disciplinary matters.•Foster a positive work environment that encourages communication, feedback, and employee development.•Ensure team members have the necessary tools, training, and resources to perform their roles effectively.Qualifications:•Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.•1-3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.•4-7 years of experience in team leadership and mentoring.•4-7 years of experience in budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling.•4-7 years of experience with Production Control systems.•Proficient in using relevant operating and information systems.•Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing and distribution processes, including quality control, tooling, and total preventive maintenance.•In-depth knowledge of products, markets, customers, and competitors.Disclaimer: Please note that we are unable to provide job sponsorships, including, but not limited to, visas, corp-to-corp arrangements (C2C), or any other form of sponsorship for employment.
