Job Description:Job Purpose:Safe operation of a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack and count product. The operator may also be required to perform order filler and checker duties as assigned.Duties and Responsibilities:Unload and verify shipments and move product to storage locationsEfficiently and safely stack and store material in proper locationsAssist with stocking operating assembly cells with materials needed to operateAssist in returning excess parts if any to warehouseOversee and record inventory controls for departmentPull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring the correct number and type of product is loaded and shippedSafely and efficiently move product out of and into trailersKeep appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory controlProcess packagesMaintain daily driver log, perform forklift inspections daily, and operate forklift in a safe manner while maintaining production requirementsPerform daily housekeeping duties.All other duties as assigned.Qualifications:REQUIRED:High School Diploma or GEDForklift certification (TTI will train)PREFERRED:Previous experience as forklift operator and material handler in a warehouse and/or manufacturing environmentPrevious experience using OracleWorking conditions:Position is located at our Cookeville, TN manufacturing facility. This facility is heated and cooled. Employee will be working with and near moving mechanical parts.Physical requirements:Candidate must be able to identify and distinguish colors, stand for long periods of time, lift/carry up to 35 lbs., reach hands and arms in any directions and kneel/stoop repeatedly. A drug screen is required prior to employment.
