The Material Handler supports the Single Serve personnel and is responsible for several production-based duties including but not limited to: moving inventory (both raw and finished) in and out of the production area, staging machines with proper materials, and stacking and wrapping finished goods on pallets. Primary Job Duties: * Arrive 15 minutes early to shift to get work instructions from Single Serve Leadership. * Accurately interpret work orders and other instructions to ensure proper materials and specifications are being followed. * Ensure that all machines are staged with adequate materials to perform necessary work orders. * Assist in breaking out Operations Support team members during lunch and breaks. * Execute material changeovers on select machines frequently throughout the shift * Accurately complete all required quality checks and paperwork * Move raw materials from the inventory area into the production area and finished material to shipping area for transport. * Operate an electric or manual pallet jack in a safe and proficient manner. * Stack finished goods cases onto pallets following the required pallet patterns. * Stretch wrap and secure pallets for shipping. * Clean work area, machines, and equipment in order to aid the operators * Perform other duties as assigned by management; tasks are not exclusive or limited to duties specified on this list. * Comply with all company policies, procedures, standards, safety and GMP requirements. * Follow all required work safety procedures to include wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). * Perform all duties and actions in a safe manner and continuously monitor areas to ensure that safety procedures are being followed. 5355 First Qualifications: * Forklift/Motorized Pallet Jack certification or ability to become certified. * Previous experience in manufacturing/production environment. * Ability to follow a schedule, as well as verbal and written instructions. * Ability to communicate comfortably and work with co-workers in a team environment * Ability to display sound logic and attention to details. * Must demonstrate excellent listening skills * Good oral and written communication skills * Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) * Ability to read department documents and reports. * Positive attitude and willingness to learn Equal Opportunity Employer / Vets / Disabled Pay Rate $18.39 per hour
