Work Shift:First Shift (United States of America)Job Description:The Material Handler is responsible for maneuvering material throughout the factory.RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for moving materials and components about the factory using carts, pallet jacks, sit-down forklifts, overhead cranesMaintains a steady flow of parts through workstationsCoordinates material flow to ensure packing and shipping scheduleAssist with the loading and unloading of incoming and outbound trucksMinor data entry tasksMust be able to work in a fast-paced high production area with minimal supervisionAll other duties as requested by managementREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredMust be able to pass truck and crane certification with training upon hireComputer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programsAbility to participate in minor data entryAbility to read a tape measureAbility to read a blueprintAbility to use hand tools requiring dexterityClimb portable laddersMust be able to communicate effectively with factory supervision WORK ENVIRONMENT:ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace RequirementsAble to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Able to stand (75%); walk (20%); stoop, kneel, or crouch (5%), as required.Able to climb a portable ladderAble to wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout the shift.Able to wear hearing protectors (ear plugs) throughout the shift while working in an environment with moderate noise levels.Gorbel® is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, creed, color, religion, alienage or national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, disability or handicap, gender, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, arrest record, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws.
