About This Role Every position at Common Citizen from seed to sale, is contributing to our mission to serve our fellow citizens of Michigan with the highest quality, safest cannabis product through our highly individualized and education-oriented provisioning centers. Material Handlers are a part of the Supply Chain team. They are responsible for the safe handling and management of the inventory supply necessary to successfully fulfill the needs of both manufacturing and business operations. Responsibilities Outlined below is what we see you doing at this point in time. We are a fast-growing company looking for people that are excited to grow along with us. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Ensures orderly and timely distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed.
- Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
- Orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
- Keep a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory; assist with weekly cycle counting.
- Receive and unload freight, properly verify quantity/quality with Purchase Order record and input into inventory.
- Ability to drive a box truck.
- Use company box truck to make deliveries to affiliated retail stores.
- Must have accountability, proactive behavior, strong attention to detail.
- Can follow company policies and contribute towards the goal of achieving targets within set timelines.
- A willingness and desire to put in the work to make our mission a reality.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Experience You Bring and the Skills we Need:
- 1 year of inventory management and/or material handling experience preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- Basic math skills
- Proficiency with prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines
- Process Improvement Mindset
- Good communication with team members and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt and problem solve in a rapidly growing and changing industry
- This is a dynamic team, and as such daily tasks may vary, resulting in a fast paced and lively work environment.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to sit for long periods of time.
- Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to stand and walk.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a greenhouse environment (tolerance of heat & humidity).
