Position SummaryThe Material Handler is responsible for the following warehouse activities including but not limited to: receiving, fullcase orders, repack stock, and fullcase stock.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive supplier shipments
- Pick customer orders
- Operate forklifts or other equipment
- Maintain inventory integrity and product safety at all times
- Operate a handheld scanner
- Obtaining power equipment certifications; electric power jack, walker/rider, and forklift
- Meet and exceed quality and production standards
- Ability to take direction from management
- Adheres to DC housekeeping guidelines
- Ensures Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times
- Perform all job duties in accordance with OSHA standards and adhere to all policies, rules, regulations and procedures
- Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
- High School diploma preferred
- Knowledge and experience with (WMS) warehouse management systems, or other platforms
- Excellent attendance record
- Must be willing and able to work overtime
- Good comprehension and organizational skills
- Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of management
- Ability to maintain records accurately and demonstrate problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and to meet deadlines
- Must be a team player with a can-do attitude
- Power Equipment certification a plus
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Physical Requirements
- Must have the ability to meet physical assessment requirements for this position
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs frequently, 50lbs occasionally, and 75lbs rarely
- Ability to complete the physical assessment at the Material Handler II level
