Job Description:

What Will I Do In This Role?

* Follow established safe work practices to ensure a safe working environment.

* Pack materials for shipping

* Input data to ensure proper tracking

* Prepare manifest and distribute as necessary

* Prepare all UPS transactions

* Inspect and reroll ribbon as required

* Records pertinent information on shipping memo

* Ship priorities and special request as instructed

* Insures patterns are shipped to proper destination

* Replenish supplies for operators such as cardboard, cores, strapping, and spools

* Load and unload truck

* Pull greige/yarn dye goods to the shipping dock to prepare for shipping

* Assist packer as needed

* All other duties as assigned

What Skills Do I Need?

* High School Diploma or GED

* Ability to read and write, use calculator and operate powered industrial truck

* Attention to details able to prioritize shipping

* Ability to prioritize work and deal with frequently changes in priority

* Must be able to lift as much as 35 lbs. above 5 ft. Must be able to stand/walk majority of the shift

* Have manual dexterity and be able to push or pull pallet jack with as much as 300lbs. of weight

* Work in both climate controlled and external conditions

* Must be able to lift 20 lbs. to head height

* Must be able to work from 20ft stepladder

* Good manual dexterity in both hands to tie knots in fine yarn

* Must be able to stand, bend and stretch majority of shift

* Must be able to justify yarn usage and inspect quality of yarn used

* Must produce product while maintaining 70% productivity rate or higher

* Must be able to comply with Powered Industrial Truck manufacturer's safety specifications including personal protective equipment and weight limit guidelines. The specifications are subject to change at any time and at the discretion of the manufacturer of the equipment.

* Climate controlled area
