Powered Industrial Trucks) to select material and product from designated areas in warehouse and deliver to proper locationsOperate scan gunsUnload trailers on docks and locates material in proper areasCommunicate specific department strategies with co-workers when necessary or when changes occurFill out paper work accurately when picking materialFollow company safety policies and procedures and good housekeeping practicesKeep Manager or Shift Leader informed, on a timely basis, of any safety hazards or problem situationsParticipate in daily clean up routines to keep warehouse neat and organized; compacts and bales scrap cardboard from departmentUse the computer system to verify and check on locationsMake location changes when needed & accurately completes paper workLocate and return material in proper locationsPerform cycle countsPerform any other task necessary for the smooth operation of the department as a wholeRequired Experience:Ability to read, write and do basic mathMust be able to operate or trained to operate lift equipment (Forklift)Must be trained and certified by Berwick Offray to operate forklift and related equipmentMust be able to do daily maintenance check on lift equipmentMust have ability to read move forms and fill out properly and neatlyMust have proven ability to work independently and cooperatively with co-workers and supervisorsReceptiveness to overtime requiredConstant walking on cement floorsConsiderable bending and lifting required (up to 50lbs. on average/10lbs. maximum)Must be able to comply with Powered Industrial Truck manufacturer's safety specifications including personal protective equipment and weight limit guidelines.
