**Description**

We are actively looking for a Material Handler to join our team on second shift!. Our Material Handlers play a key role in providing a Majestic Experience- they move our material with care to be processed, place material accordingly in storage, or help to set the stage for shipping. **Responsibilities:**

* Operate lift truck to transport material within service center

* Operate an overhead crane (20 and 35 ton).

* Operate an overhead crane to move material.

* Ensure that finished product is removed from line

* Move product to storage areas with proper equipment and efficiently stack and store in appropriate area

* Maneuver lift truck and/or other material handling equipment safely and efficiently through limited space areas

* Stock and rotate materials as necessary

* Verify counts and product shipped and/or received

* Stage material for sales and production orders

* Maintain lift truck in a safe, clean condition

* Operate all warehouse equipment in a safe and reliable manner and report all equipment failures to immediate supervisor

* Maintain a safe and healthful work environment by practicing safe work habits, good housekeeping procedures and adhering to safety guidelines

* Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work and in accordance with Safety Policy and OSHA standards. Items may include: safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, hearing protection, etc.

* Other job related duties and special projects as assigned

**Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:**

* 2 years lift truck experience

* Operate assigned equipment in a safe, effective and efficient manner

* Plan and prioritize workload

* Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow processes and procedures

* Work independently and as part of a team

* Maintain neat and orderly conditions in work area and help maintain and promote safe conditions throughout the facility

* Communicate with management and co-workers in an effective manner

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* 2 years of experience in steel and/or metals manufacturing environment

* High school diploma or equivalent

**Additional:**

* Must be able to frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 lbs.

* Must be able to sit 8 hours per day

* Must be able to walk; sit; stand; climb; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

* Must be able to mount, dismount and operate powered industrial equipment

* Must be able to work in both hot and cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions

* Must be able to work outside normal business hours/days as needed
