Position overview: As a Material Handler, you will support a broad range of activities in a dynamic, high energy warehouse environment providing all material to production departments for manufacturing the best rail vehicles in the world. What your day would look like:
- Specific responsibilities may include receiving, putting away, picking, kitting, or delivering materials to production.
- Ensure transactional accuracy for all material movements, making sure the correct quantity of material is moved to the specified location and that MRP system transactions are completed correctly.
- Properly identify all materials with appropriate labels and part numbers.
- Handle materials carefully to prevent any damage during warehouse handling or delivery to production.
- Immediately notify your supervisor of any quality or delivery issues.
- Use powered industrial vehicles for material movement. Certification may be required for tools and equipment such as cranes, forklifts, order pickers, scissor lifts, and fall protection equipment.
- Follow all safety requirements, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE). Contribute to and maintain a healthy and safe work environment. What you will need to be successful:
- High school education or GED
- 2 years previous experience in a warehouse environment and data input
- Basic English skills - ability to read and understand written instructions and effectively communicate verbally. We would be impressed if you had:
