Material Handler Job DescriptionJob SummaryAt Richelieu Foods we make Great Food from Great People. We are looking for a 2nd Shift Material Handler:Essential Functions* Transport all needed supplies correctly and on time to required line or pre-batch area.* Communicate with internal customers to determine proper quantities and placement of items needed* Responsible for complying good manufacturing practices, maintaining proper sanitation and housekeeping in area.* Properly put away any warehouse picks* Communicate and coordinate with other Material Handlers to ensure efficient operation of the department* Inform proper departments or supervisors of any issues or concerns* Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisorBasic Qualifications* High School Diploma or GED required.* 2 Years of consistent and safe forklift operation on a stand-up forklift* The ability to read and understand Line schedules and material needs* Positive attendance record* Safe operation of stand-up fork truckDesired Qualifications* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.CompetenciesTechnical Capacity* Ability to work cooperatively and maintain a professional working relationship with employees* Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written required.* Good organizational skills required* FlexibilityPhysical DemandsThe work is classified as Light - Medium Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept. of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles.
