Shift Overview :

2nd shift: Monday - Thursday, four 10-hour days 3:30pm - 2:00am; $2 shift premium per shift

Job Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for supporting internal and external customers through accurate receiving, stocking, delivery, and shipping/receiving of materials. In addition, the Material Handler should be capable to safely operate all material support equipment required in the facility operations.

Your Impact:

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Efficiently locate & pull materials/supplies as listed on production/sales order and stock assigned production areas to maintain inventory levels for production; ability to accurately verify parts & quantities and complete BOLs to receive and/or ship material.

  • Licensed and can operate all material handling equipment (i.e. Stand-up, Sit-down, Combi, Lancer, Tugger) at assigned Operations facility.

  • Ability to lift 35 pounds in a safe manner.

  • Able to/willing to learn how to operate a truck and transport from one area of the property to another.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures, rules, and proper 6S standards; use best practices to follow all safe procedures in operation of various material support equipment in assigned Operations facility.

  • Must have outstanding transaction discipline - being diligent with quantity accuracy, making effective changes within JDE

  • Perform Cycle Counts of Inventory and update JDE system

  • Rectify inventory discrepancies, monitor KANBAN cards, previous experience with ERP systems, and JDE

  • Effective in working cross-functionally with various internal customer

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years or more relevant experience OR High School Diploma or equivalent education

  • Ability to become forklift certified to operate a forklift/tugger to receive and deliver parts safely and efficiently

  • Maintain balance when climbing on a portable step to retrieve parts

  • Use a computer to track down parts

  • Individually lift and manipulate parts/equipment weighing up to 75 pounds

  • Tolerate constant standing, sitting, and walking throughout the shift

  • Use both hands for tool operation, carrying of parts, and assisting co-workers with heavy lifting of parts

  • Climb in and out of forklift/tow motor safely

  • Demonstrate strength and physical stamina to complete the tasks safely

  • Remember task sequence, parts locations, and safety constraints
