Position Summary The role will be responsible for supporting facility safety programs while performing duties related to unloading inbound receipts, stock put-a-ways, loading, supporting operations through material movements throughout the distribution operation. Responsibilities
- Able to support front/back/pull of materials to the line.
- Able to support secondary packaging/ blending operations.
- Staging of finished goods for all outbound shipments (DHL, customers, TPM's).
- Loading, unloading, and put away of all materials.
- Ability to load outbound trucks to DHL/Create Delivery to DHL through SAP/Thor Unit.
- Anticipate, identify, and trouble-shoot any potential failure points in the department.
- Complete all required safety and regulatory training as applies.
- Ensure all required paperwork is complete and accurate.
- Maintain forklift and other lifting devices as required, including battery changing/charging, water levels and charging areas, as it applies.
- Interface with all levels of personnel in a positive, team building manner.
- Work from established procedures and/or verbal instructions.
- Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly condition in accordance with the Visual Management and 5S Standards.
- Follow all prescribed Health, Safety and Environmental laws, OSHA, rules and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to address and resolve issues.
- Escalate all issues affecting the key metrics: Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
- Other duties as assigned due to business needs.
We we are looking for
- 3+ years of forklift experience (Two or more Industrial Equipment Certifications, self-direction with an emphasis on quality and productivity, possess decision making and problem-solving skills with little to no direction, communication, and basic computer skills. 3+ years' experience operating in a warehouse setting).
- Crossed trained and proficient between distribution and material areas at the facility.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Proficient in SAP/WMS and functionality of THOR units.
- Physical capabilities: Stretching, lifting, climbing, twisting, turning, standing, pulling, pushing, reaching, and bending.
- Lifting up to 60#, with the ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, stretching, climbing, twisting, turning, standing, pulling, pushing, reaching, and bending.
