Job Description:
4-day work week, 3-day weekend! Monday - Thursday, 7:30pm - 6am. $2/hour Shift Premium! Opus Packaging - Indianapolis is a premier packaging company and supplier of corrugated products. We are currently searching for Material Handlers for our Whitestown, IN location. As a Material Handler you can expect to operate a powered industrial truck in a safe manner in coherence with promoting the corporate vision, mission statement, and core values.   • Must be 18 years or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents.
  • Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
  • Have a least 2 years' experience operating a powered industrial truck.
  • Work safely.
It'd be great if you also have:
  • Previous experience in warehouse or packaging environment.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Ability to properly use and understand the required measurement equipment including tape measures, micrometers, and other tools as required by specific jobs.
During a normal workday you can expect to:
  • Operate Powered Industrial Truck equipped with lifting devices to lift, tier and load product into trailers or bins.
  • Ensure the smooth flow of materials to various departments on the production floor.
  • Operate a Powered Industrial Truck in a safe manner, following all rules and regulations that are set forth.
  • Ensure loads are stacked properly for safe transportation.
  • Be accountable for accuracy of shipping documents and verify that trailers are properly loaded while communicating with a supervisor about any discrepancies relating to orders.
