Freeport Press is a commercial printer of magazines, catalogs and direct mail, located in New Philadelphia, OH. We are looking for a Material Handler to stage, organize and assist in our production area. Your job will be to prepare product for production and coordinate the product flow.

Job Responsibilities:
* Check production schedule to make sure all material is available
* Load and unload packages
* Organize stock in the most efficient way using forklifts, pallets, cranes, etc.
* Receive and check incoming pick tickets
* Pull material to fulfill orders properly
* Wrap orders and place them on trucks for delivery
* Monitor inventory levels and suggest new orders when needed
* Document orders, materials and any stock movements
Skills required:
* Ability to follow instructions
* Basic computer skills
Physical requirements:
* Ability to climb up and down on forklift, to see, to speak and to hear pages from press operators. Heavy lifting 20 to 50 pounds.
Job Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate or similar position
* Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks)
* Strong communication skills
* Dexterity and attention to detail
* Organizational skills
* Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
* License to operate forklifts (we will certify)
* Availability to occasionally work overtime
* High school diploma or GED
Preferred:
* Familiarity with warehouse picking systems or RF devices is a plus
Schedule:
* Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm
* Weekends, as needed
* Overtime may be required
Start rate:
$17.00 per hour
