Description Material Handler - Chem Weigh, Full-Time (1st & 3rd) Accupac is hiring a full-time Material Handler - Chem Weigh to join our 1st and 3rd shift team at our Souderton, PA. location. Basic Job Functions: Responsible to perform the physical unloading, loading, transfer, storage, shipping, physical handling and movement of all materials throughout Accupac's warehouse facilities. Essential Functions of the Job:
  • Load and unload trucks/trailers
  • Prepare materials for proper identification, sampling, and warehouse storage.
  • Bar Code ticketing of all materials as per established procedures.
  • Verify, count and inventory materials.
  • Accurately report material locations through the effective use of the Bar Code Inventory System. Includes efficient use of Intermec PC unit.
  • Proper daily maintenance and care of all warehouse materials handling equipment.
  • Maintain constant good housekeeping and cleanliness in accordance with all cGMP and FDA regulations. Adhere to all Department and Company SOP's.
  • Stretch wrap pallets of raw materials, packaging components and finished goods.
  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements of the Job:
  • Able to operate, in an efficient and safe manner, assigned power forklift and industrial equipment to move and store materials throughout the production plant and warehouses.
  • Possess basic math skills sufficient to count and reconcile materials.
  • Possess the ability to read and interpret instructional signs and warning placards.
  • Possess experience in trailer loading/unloading and truck dock operations.
  • Able to follow instructions, get along well with others and work in a team environment.
  • Able to be conscientious, hardworking and detail oriented.
  • Able to work different shifts, hours, and overtime on short notice.
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to sustain a minimum of one (1) hour of strenuous activity.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. from the floor to waist level.
  • Able to move physically containers off of and on to pallets.
  • Possess peripheral and color vision.
  • Able to work different scheduled hours/shifts/days and overtime to meet the manufacturing schedule.
  • Able to walk/ride stand-up truck for 75% of the workday.
Supervisory Responsibilities: No Travel: None Education and/or Experience: Must have a high school diploma or GED. Prefer previous experience working in a warehouse environment. Must have a Forklift operator's license. Required Skills Minimum Requirements of the Job: • Possess knowledge of written and spoken English sufficient for internal communication • Possess the ability to follow instructions • Possess the ability to operate pallet jack Physical Requirements: • Possess the ability to stand/walk on concrete floors for a full shift • Possess the physical strength and mobility to lift and carry boxes of components weighing up to 50 lbs from floor to waist level. • Possess the physical strength and mobility to maneuver product drums, weighing up to 400 lbs, into position • Possess the physical ability to reach into the bottom of four-foot high product drums and move pallets of components/finished product. • Possess the ability to recognize colors and shades of color • Possess the visual acuity to read, identify and match components/product descriptions, part numbers and batch codes • Possess the ability to push/pull items up to 100 lbs • Possess the ability to hear speech and/or alarms through plant noise. • Possess peripheral and color vision • Possess the ability to work overtime as needed Supervisory Responsibilities: No Travel: None Education and/or Experience: Must have a high school diploma or GED.
