Location: Hamilton, OH Shift Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-2:30 PM (Overtime possible on Saturdays) Pay Rate: $17.00/hour Job Overview: We are seeking a Material Handler with forklift experience to join our team. The role involves maintaining inventory, transporting materials, and supporting operations while adhering to ISO standards, safety regulations, and housekeeping requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, label, and move materials and supplies to workstations.
- Use hand-held scanners for routing and receiving products.
- Operate forklift and overhead cranes to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks while ensuring proper documentation.
- Perform pre-use inspections of material-handling equipment.
- Weigh, count, and verify materials; handle scrap and ensure proper disposal.
- Ensure containers are free from damage or contamination and repackage if necessary.
- Maintain in-process inventory by delivering and opening materials.
- Train new employees assigned to the area, as required.
Required Skills:
- Forklift experience and certification (or ability to acquire through training).
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, memos, and correspondence.
- Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
- Familiarity with computer systems and keyboard use.
- Physical ability to lift and move materials and operate equipment safely.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of the part number system and proper material handling procedures.
- Understanding of dock lock operations and chip system maintenance.
