Includes staging and preparation of pallets for shipment and accurate completion of required paperwork. Assures compliance with GMP-s and safety standards are maintained. Shipping Technicians regularly work 40 hours per week with overtime as business needs require.Duties & Responsibilities:Ensure all outgoing shipments are picked accurately using a printed order slip or scan gun (Packing Slip).Stage orders for shipment.Pick loads for shipment, strict attention for accuracy.Ensure order is loaded in a manner that adheres to being transport.Using a forklift, may unload finished product and supplies from incoming trailers, pallets or skids and transfer to correct storage areas.Perform cycle counts on finished product by date.Operate shrink wrap equipment.Advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions to assist in providing a safe environment for other workers who walk through the warehouse.Follow and maintain GMP standards at all times.Participate and assist in inventory process.Safely operate forklift/stand up reach truck.Complete all required documentation with accuracy.Advise appropriate leads to any unsafe conditions in both plant and warehouse areas.Able to troubleshoot some equipment issues and advise maintenance of needed repairs or preventive care.Responsible for Continuous Improvement ideas and implementation in assigned area.Participate in team functions as required.Must maintain warehouse in an organized and clean manner to ensure safety and good manufacturing processes.Interact with warehouse team members, quality control, and production to maximize output and efficiency.Other duties as directed by the supervisor.Workplace Safety:Completes safety system documentation and verifies compliance to program standards. Reports deviations to Supervisor.Participates in mandatory safety trainings and adheres to all safety policiesRequired to report all safety issues, near misses, and injuriesQuality & Food Safety:Completes quality & food safety system documentation and verifies compliance to program standards. Reports deviations to Supervisor.Participates in mandatory food safety and quality training program requirementsPreserves the integrity of the BRC system through adherence to the policies and procedures outlined.
