**POSITION SUMMARY:**

The Material Handler position is responsible for the process of moving and distributing materials. This position may be required to unpack material, count, label, storing, weigh or measure items of incoming shipments. You will also be responsible for performing these duties while engaging in safe acts and maintaining a safe work environment.

**POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:**

* Maintaining inventory control levels and locations.

* Perform weekly inventory checks.

* Route items to various production lines and cells.

* Examine incoming shipments to ensure material is not damaged

* Safely utilize or operate forklifts or hoist to move material and buses according to proper safety instructions

* Stacking and stocking parts in locations upon receipt.

* Bi-annual plant inventory duties.

* Daily housekeeping of work area.

* Some assembly or dis-assembly of parts.

* May be called upon to pull or move material from stock and plant.

* Use of computer to check locations for stock when requested.

* Performs other related work as required and assigned.

**IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:**

* Positive Attitude.

* Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with team members.

* Basic Understanding of common computer programs.

* Reliable, prompt and a good attendance record.

* Knowledgeable in warehousing procedures.

**REQUIRED EDUCATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:**

* Material Handling experience preferred.

* Must be bilingual, English/Spanish preferred.

* High school diploma/GED (or equivalent) or an equivalent amount of work experience.
