Job Description:

The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and secure receipt, storage, and retrieval of inventory and non-inventory materials. Maintaining the facility and the inventories in a neat and orderly condition.Essential Duties: Physically unload and perform visual inspection of inbound/outbound freight.Prepare Bill(s) of Lading (BOL) for all outbound truckload and LTL shipments and maintain records of all outbound/inbound shipments (Full truckload, LTL, UPS, FedEx, etc.).Monitor check in inbound and outbound drivers.Communicate with carriers and 3rd party transportation for trailer drops and pick-ups.Pick, Pack and scan correct items for customer orders by referencing part number, product description, pick location, and pick quantity from a computer-generated pick ticket.Prepare and affix appropriate documentation to cartons and packages.Manipulate computer terminal to generate shipping labels, locate overstock items, and identify specific product locations, as well as generate combination of BOLFile import documents and distribute copies to appropriate warehouse associates.Obtain proof of delivery information for various shipment types as necessary.Communicate specific order status to Manager and Customer Service as necessary.Use scanners to capture product information customer order numbers, product serial numbers, and carrier tracking numbers.Accurately fill in materials orders for the Assembly lines and place all materials in the proper locations.Provide Materials Analysts with incoming material piece counts.Perform all work assignments in compliance with all Federal and State safety and environmental regulations.Maintain a clean work area during the shift and completely clean the work area and surrounding work areas at the end of each shift.Assist with performing cycle counting of inventory and physical inventory activities.Maintain all material handling equipment in accordance to original equipment manufacturers specification. Report any unsafe equipment conditions to the Manager or designeeKeep material storage areas and aisles clean and neatly organized and dunnage and waste bins emptied.Assist warehouse personnel in other functional areas when workloads become excessive.Perform special tasks and assignments as required by management.Qualifications (Education and Experience):Required HS Diploma or GED1- 3 years of experience working in a warehousing environmentDesiredCertification for operating power / material handling equipmentSkills and Capabilities (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):Required Capable of operating motorized machinery (forklift, stand-up, sit down clamp, and other material handling equipment) in a safe and efficient manner.Strong initiative and a demonstrated ability to work independently in an organized manner.Excellent communication skillsDemonstrated ability to follow directions, stay on schedule, adhere to standards, and pay attention to detailsDemonstrated willingness and ability to:be trained on the operation of power and/or hand toolsdrive a forkliftmaintain a clean and safe working environmentAbility to lift and carry 50lbsAbility to work extended hours as required, including overtime and weekendsDesiredPrevious experience operating a forkliftKnowledge and/or experience with 5S principles and techniquesLast date to apply:We are continuously accepting applications
