Join us as a Material Handler IYour main responsibilities Receive, store, issue, and ship all equipment, supplies, parts, and raw materials associated with production. Deliver needed materials to appropriate departments. Maintain inventory and supply records as required. Safety
  • The ability to work safely and proactively contribute to a safer work environment.
  • Observe and actively participate in all company rules and safety practices.
Quality:
  • The demonstration of work duties which an employee should know and understand to produce quality, defect-free pieces, or quality mistake-free work output.
  • Check quality of material and verify conformance to standards.
  • Responsible for quality of work.
Costing:
  • Complete and maintain all necessary records and reports associated with receiving, stores, issuing and shipment as required.
  • Indicate short or damaged goods and obtain driver's signature where required.
Production:
  • Work from manufacturing information, material lists, requisitions, written and/or oral instructions.
  • Receive, identify, and verify incoming shipments.
  • Store productive and contract materials, supplies, tools, and equipment
  • Issue items from stores and storage areas as required.
  • Assign bin locations or storage areas as required.
  • Prepare for shipment completed equipment, accessory and service parts and assure parts on products are properly labeled and loaded for shipment.
  • Load, unload, move, stack, consolidate, and band materials to pallet or put materials in crates or cartons as required.
  • Complete and maintain all necessary records and reports associated with receiving, stores, issuing, and shipments as required.
  • May be required to successfully pass certification for licensing of forklifts depending on specific department requirements.
  • Maintain tools and equipment.
  • Keep work areas in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Participate in any/all inventory control processes including cycle counting of parts.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Leadership:
  • Guide and assist other personnel as directed.
  • Provide suggestions and ideas toward continuous improvement.
What you bring
  • Previous forklift experience; 1 year min; 3 years max
  • SAP/MRP/ERP Knowledge; 1 year min; 3 years max
  • Inventory management experience (cycle counting); 1 year min; 3 years max
  • Must be willing to travel between Holland and Maumee facilities
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Operator certification within 60 days
