Start the next chapter of your career with Crane Aerospace & Electronics!Job Summary:The Material Handler III is responsible for receiving, moving, storing, counting, tracking, issuing, and shipping a variety of production parts, materials and supplies. The production floor relies on this position to provide the right parts and materials at the right time in order to meet on-time-delivery goals.Essential Functions:Maintain accurate inventory control by following established work instructions and processes.Move materials to and from receiving, production areas and shipping by hand, using sorting bins and carts, or other equipmentUnpack, receive, and stock materials into storeroom location(s)Read work orders to determine material and equipment needs for production cell workIssue critical materials to production cellsComplete the cycle count process for Value Stream; Escalate variances in counts, as neededRespond to unplanned issues with internal customers in a timely mannerPack and ship materials in accordance with contract requirementsAid and/or Backfill coworkers, as needed to complete daily tasksChange part stocking methods to better facilitate production needsPerform root cause investigation on variances in cycle countsEnsure compliance with export compliance rulesAny other task assigned by supervisor or managementMinimum Qualifications:E xperience: 3-5 years of relevant electronics manufacturing experienceKnowledge: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods; Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfactionSkills/Abilities: Demonstrated outstanding manual dexterity; Demonstrated ability to concentrate on repetitive tasks; Demonstrated ability to accurately follow detailed work instructions; Demonstrated ability to understand standard work instructions; Math skills to perform basic calculations; Outstanding verbal communication skills; Proficient with MS Office. Willingness to work extended hours and Saturdays in order to meet customer's needs.Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalentEligibility Requirement: This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered.
