In this role you will perform shipping andreceiving duties for all departments. Highly skilled with freight forwarders and theirdocumentation required for both international and domestic shipments. Responsible forhelping always maintain inventories through spot checks and cycle counts.This job description will be reviewed periodically and is subject to change by management.RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides materials to production work centers while ensuring adequate controls ofinventoryDemonstrates solid understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Packs and ships customer ordersReceives and delivers inbound packagesMaintains inventory control of all stock locationsFills material requisitions and delivers to appropriate departmentMaintains cycle count programMaintains accurate documentation for disposal of materialResponsible for cleanliness of warehouse and shipping areasMay be subject to call back or extended hours as requiredBASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:High School Diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience.1+ years' warehouse/material handling experience.Valid Driver's LicensePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:2+ years' material handling, freight and logistics and receiving experience in an FDA,ISO, GMP environment.COMPETENCIES:Ability to drive a fork truckKnowledge of Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems;Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.Functional knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control procedures.
