Base pay $18 hourly + $1.00 shift differential Monday-FridaySUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES The Material Handler II will aid in the moving and stocking of materials by operating an industrial truck which may include, stand-up, sit-own forklift, and/or reach lift. The Material Handler II will perform general labor duties as needed within the facility. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage, production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or utilizing the proper forklift. Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs. Stage materials in locations such as transit areas using pallets or cargo boards Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets Record damage reports and maintain daily logs Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse to ensure timely and complete delivery Weigh, wrap, and box materials Perform routine maintenance, such as cleaning and recharging batteries Utilize proper alerts and other safety measures when operating equipment Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected Maintain a clean and safe workspace, moving waste to dumpsters as neededKEY RESULT AREASAbility to: Solve basic math problems Work well alone and with a team Resolves simple problems Displays strong work ethic and organizational skills Follow instructions from leads, supervisors and/or manager Adhere to strict safety guidelineRequirementsREQUIRED EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE 1 yr experience operating forklifts Must have achieved prior certification (will be certified on site) Read, write and communicate in English Good oral and written communication skills REQUIRED EDUCATION High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not requiredSalary Description $18.00
