We are looking for a Materials Handler to join our growing team in the Wheel Plant. Our Material Handler is responsible for the logistics of all incoming and outgoing materials and goods, to be performed in a safe and efficient manner. Additionally, this position requires receiving and mixing chemicals for running product. This includes the accuracy of shipping and receiving documents as well as packaging for all products. Will assist with other daily tasks to ensure we meet customer demand.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Receive chemical deliveries, parts orders, and internal shipments from other departments.
* Build skids for sales orders, and stock incoming raw materials.
* Mixing chemicals for running product in the corrugation area. * Data entry on chemical inputs and monitoring chemical ratios in collaboration with engineering.
* Deliver finished material to appropriate areas.
* Participate in Lean initiatives to provide ongoing continuous improvement ideas.
Requirements: * Ability to operate forklift. Prior forklift license preferred, will train the right individual. * Experience in handling hazardous materials a plus, along with HAZMAT certification - not required - will train. * Ability to operate a saw. * Previous experience using shipping systems a plus. * Experience with operating handheld tools including impact driver, nail gun, level and tape measure.
