**Material Handler**

****Position Description****

**Job Summary**

Responsible for maintaining inventory and facilitating the shipping and receiving needs for all products and materials entering or leaving the facility. Strict adherence to Corporate and/or local policies, rules,and regulations is required. A commitment to carrying out the Companys policies is required. Promotes a safe working environment, complies with proper use of PPE, reports incidents, and participates in functional department safety meetings. Exhibits good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed and EMS (Environmental Management System) requirements.

Employee must focus on internal and external customers expectations and strive for continuous improvement resulting in improved results for themselves, customers, and other employees. The employee will interact with all departments and truck drivers to assure accurate and efficient operation of the shipping/receiving function of this facility.

Working hours: Monday - Friday: 9:00AM to 5:30PM

**Required Qualifications**

* High school diploma or GED required.

* 2 years of warehouse experience preferred.

* Good interpersonal and problem solving skills required.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Detail oriented pays attention to details with extra attention to any special requests or changes.

* Friendly and Professional able to deal with production constraints while cleaning is being performed.

* Team Player ability to work within a team where members depend on each other to get work done.

* Self-starter able to identify work that needs to be done and do it without being instructed to do so.

* Desire to learn, seek new challenges, and take on additional responsibilities.

* Reasoning ability Good Common sense with ability to solve practical problems.

**Additional Description**

* Prepare packaging for shipping ensuring that only Q.A. released materials are being shipped, and assure the shipment ship on the day promised. Prepare pallets for shipment if needed.

* Cycle count inventory in warehouse.

* Load trucks for shipment.

* Pickup and delivery for vendors and customers.

* Complete 5S responsibilities including maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse, as well as completing safety activities.

* Interact with internal customers; pick raw material and components based on production requirements.

* Move all released finished goods to warehouse daily if not being shipped.

* Perform timely QAD inventory transactions to accompany goods movements, shipments, and receipts.
