Job Description:

The Material Handler performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies.RESPONSIBILITIESPick, pack and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently to meet customer requirements.Process supplier receipts and customer returns, following specifications.Processes all paperwork for International shipments.Load and unload trucks that deliver receipts, returns and customer ordersEnsure that the bill of lading is accurate and all packages are accounted for before the transaction is completed, in accordance with DOT laws and regulations.Maintain a clean and safe working environment.Operate equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.Utilize computerized or automated systems to accomplish tasks.Other duties as assigned by manager or group lead.Identify and label materials, and record their locations in the warehouse/on the shelves to maintain inventoryREQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma/GEDKnowledge and practicing of consistent safety practicesPrevious experience working in a warehouse environmentKnowledge of automated or computerized system operationPrevious experience operating a forklift or tow motor equipment extended up to 26 feet in the airAbility to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials up to 75lbsGood communication and mathematical skillsAbility to work independently and make decisions based on trainingStrong attention to detailTPC Wire & Cable is an EO employer: Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
