Shift schedule/hours:
- A Days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday 7:00am-7:00pm
- B Nights: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday 7:00pm-7:00am
Compensation:
- Starting wage ranges from $17.50+, dependent upon experience
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU: You will be responsible for the operation and output of assigned production lines which include but are not limited to:
- Operate a forklift
- Retrieved boxed resins and deliver to extrusion line
- Scan all materials to the appropriate extrusion line
- Weigh and return boxed resin to inventory locations
- Keep resin bins full
- Communicate all resin/packaging needs and maintain stock inventory in plant
- Keep inventory areas clean and organized
- Unload and put away all raw material deliveries
- Take trash and cardboard waste to appropriate compactor
- Stretch-wrap and label all Finished Goods
- Assist operators in packaging and banding pallets
- Labels scrap and keep scrap area clean and organized
- Inspect finished good packaging
- Load finished goods into transfer trailer.
- Breakdown and organize empty Gaylord containers
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures
- Comply with all AIB and BRC Standards and Standard Operation Procedures
OUR SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
- Ensure that safety and health concerns are given primary consideration in all activities
- Follows company guidelines and actively participates in all safety processes
- Carry out job/area specific housekeeping duties and maintain a high standard of professionalism
- Look for, report, and correct any near misses/unsafe conditions or behaviors as soon as possible
- Produce quality materials to be distributed to customers
- Maintain production volume and efficiency
- Identify needed changes and make recommendations - find a better way
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues, requesting supervisor assistance when needed
OUR BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing job experience.
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts.
- Good basic math skills and knowledge of how to read a tape measure.
- Possess basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated skill in organizing work, taking initiative, setting priorities and sound decision making.
- Possess logic, problem solving, and trouble shooting skills.
- Deals effectively with company personnel on all levels ranging from production workers to top management.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical Work and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. - While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand most of their 12-hour shift on a cement production floor. The team member frequently is required to use arms to reach and hands to handle or feel. The team member must repetitively lift and/or move up to 65 pounds. Must be able to routinely climb stairs and work safely around numerous hot surfaces and rotating equipment.
- Team members are also required to frequently talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Team members in this role are exposed to seasonal temperature/humidity changes that can be near 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
