Job Description Material Handler - ( 2200027 ) **Description**

onsemi's South Portland Maine Shipping and Receiving team is currently seeking a Shipping/Receiving/Stores (SRS) Material Handler to join our cross-functional and driven team onsite at our 24/7 Wafer Fab. This new hire will be responsible for multiple SRS activities in support of manufacturing and other cross-functional groups that support daily business at our manufacturing site.

**The Day to Day:**

* Prepare outgoing scheduled and unscheduled (emergency) shipments for domestic and international shipping, and freight trucks; complete needed paperwork for safe and accurate high value shipments

* Handle incoming scheduled and unscheduled (emergency) shipment arrivals

* Unload chemical and gas trucks, stage gas cylinders, and ship chemical containers for refill per regulations

* Stock items according to FIFO, pull and deliver material and supplies

* Use forklifts, manual and electric pallet jacks, and and other material handling equipment

* Inventory control and inventory cycle counting, using computers to help input information and generate shipping documents

* Occasional entry to the clean room for silicon delivery and stocking tasks

* Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hr days, with potential need to work outside of normal hours as needed by the site. Shift start time is to be determined, but no earlier than 6AM. Preferred schedule would be 9am-5pm but willing to be flexible.

**Qualifications**

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Ability to obtain CFR49 and/or IATA certifications

* Ability to strictly adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and regulations and employ 5S techniques

* Flexibility to work outside of normal hours and modify start time for short durations as needed to provide vacation coverage, etc.

* Ability to work as part of a team and/or independently depending on the needs of the day

* Drive to be innovative and motivated to help continuously improve processes across the site, and within the SRS processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste

* Ability to be cross-trained (learn more than one job or operation) and multitask

* Ability to work in a cleanroom environment, inside the building, and outside the building as needed

* Ability to lift and carry loads up to 50

* Basic math skills and computer skills

* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

* Ability to be trained on the forklift

* Ability to stand for at least 75% of the time during your shift

* Comfort working with and around chemicals (safety training is provided)

* Organization skills and the ability to prioritize ones work

* **What Will Put You Ahead :**

* Associates Degree or additional related, college-level coursework

* Previous inventory control, receiving, or shipping experience

* Current CFR49 and/or IATA Certifications

* Forklift experience

* Experience working with hazardous material
