MPS Group, Inc., is seeking a Material Handler to join our team at the SMP Automotive Systems Facility located in Cottondale, AL. This individual will ensure safe and efficient removal, and handling of industrial material and/or waste in a manufacturing environment using a forklift.Responsibilities and Job Duties:* Operate the forklift, including conducting daily inspections and performing safe operations as trained and certified.* Assist with documenting container inspections and waste pickup.* Inspect waste storage areas and emergency equipment, taking corrective action to address deficiencies identified during the inspection.* Adhere to and comply with the site-specific health and safety plan, host facility policies, and applicable government health, safety, and environmental regulations.* Use all assigned PPE and follow task instruction sheets.* Take on other duties as assigned.Requirements and Qualifications:* High School Diploma or GED.* One-year experience working in a manufacturing environment.* Must be able to pass a background check.* Must be able to pass a drug test.Preferred:* Forklift certification.
