Job Description:

The Material Handler utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from, trucks, trailers, vans, or trains and within the storage facility. Loads and unloads material within a warehouse or storage facility. Relies on instructions and pre-established procedures and guidelines to perform the functions of the job is responsible to count, receive, store, ship and replenish inventory goods associated with the warehouse. The Warehouse Material Handler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. The Warehouse Material Handler will report to the Inventory Lead or Inventory Manager.Duties & ResponsibilitiesSAFETY & COMPLIANCEMaintains safety and service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the businessMaintains the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring that all activity is carried out ethically and in compliance with Company policies, relevant laws, regulations, standards and industry practicesApplies Weatherford, and where appropriate, Client Company's Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Policy and Safety Management SystemsDemonstrates a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the EnvironmentOPERATIONAL CAPABILITYResponsible for credit return inventory by arranging for the inspection of materials; verifying count, part number and properly transacting returned inventory back into stockResponsible for documenting/recording of inventory movement within the warehouse when inventory is relocated to optimize efficienciesResponsible for documenting/recording of inventory shipped from the warehouseResponsible for Identifying and labelling of material, as well as recording/assigning and placing it in its assigned locations on the shelves to maintain inventoryResponsible for lifting equipment operations to include loading and unloading of incoming and outgoing inventoryResponsible for performing and reporting of cycle counts assigned by inventory supervisor/managerResponsible for preparing and securing outgoing inventory orders for shipment to destinationResponsible for pulling and verifying inventory listed on incoming orders sent to the warehouseResponsible for staging of secured outgoing inventory in designated staging areaResponsible for the pre-use inspections and preventative maintenance of lifting equipment assigned to the warehouseResponsible to count, receive, store, ship and replenish inventory goods associated with the warehouseEnsures material is handled, packaged, or stored in a way that does not cause damage or harm to people, process or productSupport transactions and activities associated with Asset management as requireResponsible for completing all Company designated training and competency programs assigned to the positionParticipates in the performance management program and quarterly conversationExperience & EducationREQUIREDHigh school diploma or equivalentPREFERRED1-5 years of experience working in a warehouse settingCertification training for forklift truck operationsKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesREQUIREDKnowledge of commonly used practices, and procedures within warehouse managementAbility to collaborate with others and have good team-building skillsAbility and willingness to use warehousing equipment including pallet jacks, forklifts, cranes, wrapping machines etc.Weatherford is a leading global energy services company.
