Apply now and embark on a journey to shape the future with us.Job Description The Material Handler is responsible for assessing and safely transporting raw and finished materials required to meet the needs of the Production Operation team. Also provides efficient workflow using a variety of types of powered industrial vehicles.Essential Job Functions
  • Perform all tasks in a safe manner, wearing required PPE and following all safety regulations to include operation of powered industrial vehicles.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in MRP system.
  • Maintain current knowledge of job packages and material flow, to include understanding operations at each machine and material requirements necessary for each job package.
  • Review log sheets, traveler tags and daily production sheets and ensure raw, finished, scrap, packaging, and other materials are moved to appropriate location.
  • Collaborate with other departments to review and resolve QRBs and Red Tags.
  • Coordinate with Master Scheduler and Production Manager regarding any schedule changes.
  • Support other warehouse needs, including Hazardous Materials, Trash/Dumpster Disposal and Cycle Counting, as needed to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Clear communication with coworkers on exiting and incoming shifts to ensure thorough handoff of open priorities.
  • Participate in training as required.
  • Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Please note: This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR), as such, applicants must be a U.S. person defined as a citizen, national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferred
  • Previous lift truck experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Manufacturing systems knowledge.
  • Ability to read charts and document numbers.
  • Very comfortable with computer and able to use basic MS Office programs and local systems.
  • Working knowledge of Axiom and/or Ignition preferred
  • Detail Oriented.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Must have a positive outlook and can-do attitude to support departmental and company goals

Must be able to lift up to 200 pounds with assistance. The physical demands represent those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation. The work setting normally requires exposure to a typical manufacturing environment that requires the use of personal protective equipment including steel toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
