Benefits Available!Weekly Pay! $16.50/Hour SHIFT DETAILS:8:00AM to 4:30PM.DESCRIPTION:The Material Handler I is responsible for providing the highest level of accuracy within eachaspect of customer order fulfillmentThis includes, but is not limited to, receiving product,stocking/replenishment, product selection, routing completed orders to the appropriate trailer,and maintaining a safe work environmentUtilization of computers will applyPerformanceconsistent with guidelines established by the Manager of Distribution and the OperationsManagement Team of the CSC will be essentialAdherence to the goals and philosophy ofSisters Mercy Health System, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics and The EmployeeCode of Conduct is requiredPerforms duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent withour mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.Job Responsibilities:Attitude: Effectively practices and promotes teamwork in all dutiesActions areconsistent with objectives and goals for department, distribution center, and healthsystemRemembers that patients are at the end of our supply chain.Quality of Work: Performs duties in a manner that insures inventory accuracythroughout the health systemVerifies products, quantities, and insures label integrity.Provides notification of item maintenance when requiredActual accuracyperformance consistent with established standards for a Materials Handler I.Quantity of Work: Consistently produces work volumes relative to established standards for a Materials Handler I.Job Knowledge: Knowledge of products and procedures relative to job duties,distribution center, pharmaceutical repackaging, and health system operations.Judgement: Makes decisions based upon job knowledge and experienceConsidersall impacted areas in decision processSeeks advice where applicableJudgementsensible and reliable.Dependability & Empowerment: Completion of assignments without follow upAbilityto identify, adapt, and pursue prioritiesProvides proper communication of unresolvedissues in a timely manner.Industry: Utilizes available work hours effectivelyActively seeks other tasks uponcompletion.Personal Appearance: Wears clothing and Health System badge consistent with dresscodeAttends to personal hygiene to maintain a clean, well-groomed appearanceSafety: Observes universal precautions consistentlyWears proper personal protectiveequipment when appropriatePlays a daily part of maintaining a safe workenvironment.Attendance: Adheres to Health System attendance standardsProvides advancednotification of absence where possible.QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM REQUIREDDemonstrated mathematical ability to count accurately andfollow written instructions.Must be able to manage multiple, complex instructionssimultaneously.Ability to reach and lift supplies and boxes of reasonable weight.Must be able to demonstrate the ability to safely and repetitivelylift and carry a 50 pound load as exhibited during a post-offerfunctional capacity testing processAbility to work long hours in a warehouse preparing and loadingfreight.Familiarity with computers and keyboard proficiencyQUALIFICATIONS PREFERREDEducation: High School diplomaExperience: 1-2 years experience in a similar position.Knowledge and/or experience with Warehouse Management Systems.Knowledge and experience with lot controlled and expiration dated product handling.Certification/Registration: Ability to operate forklift and rider pallet jacksWORKING CONDITIONSNot Applicable Minimal Occasional Frequent Continuous( < 25% ) (
