We are Toshiba.We have an unwavering drive to make and do things that lead to a better world.At Toshiba, we commit to raising quality of life for people around the world, ensuring progress that is in harmony with our planet.Our core values include: Do the Right Thing, Look for a better way, Always consider the impact and Create Together.Toshiba America Energy Systems Corporation (TAES) provides energy industry solutions - new equipment, retrofits, maintenance, outage planning and more - for current and future power generation needs in the Americas, including thermal, hydro and nuclear power plants.Position SummaryWe are seeking a dependable, energetic Material Handler for first shift to work out of our Milwaukee Service Center.This position is primarily responsible for material handling within the Shipping/Receiving department, moving parts in and out of the warehouse as needed, crating and packaging of parts for shipment, and making deliveries and pick-ups as required.Additionally, this position is responsible for assisting in the execution and maintenance of the daily operational functions of inventory including but not limited to, receipt of purchased materials, components, parts and supplies to stock; prepare finished goods and parts for shipment. Essential DutiesShipping/ReceivingReceive, transport and stock items from purchase orders and manufacturing work ordersMatch packing list to material received, noting any discrepancies, segregate material requiring QA inspectionDeliver product to the proper department or personnel for internal useLoad/unload freight carriers and sign bills of ladingBuild crates and packaging of materials for shipmentOff-load stock from delivery vehicle utilizing forklift and/or overhead craneStores bar stock in proper locationsWorking from instructions, cuts bar stock in accordance with dimensional data on manufacturing work orderDeburrs finished cut pieces to remove major burrsMarks identifying data on cut pieces, and transfers cut pieces to proper manufacturing locationPerforms issue transactions in shop management system for material consumed by work orderMarks identifying item number on remaining bar stock and transfers remaining bar stock to proper locationMove material to and from CNC shop as requiredAssist in other shipping/receiving duties as requiredInventoryAssist with physical inventory and cycle countingGeneralMake deliveries and pickups as requiredGeneral housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the shipping/receiving and inventory areasProvide support and expertise to the organization to develop and/or implement new or improved processesMaintain harmonious and productive working relationships with Company's domestic and international customers, vendors, and co-workersMaintain and work within safety rules and regulations as established by Company, OSHA, and facilities managementEducation and Required ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment and in position responsible for material handling, shipping, receiving, and inventory.Proficient computer skills to navigate within Oracle, PPG, Excel/Word, Outlook and ATONHigh attention to detail.
