Description:Job Title: Material HandlerReports to: Operations ManagerFLSA Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt Snavely Forest Products is seeking a Material Handler for our Denver, CO location. Objective: As a Material Handler , you will be responsible for handling, moving, and storing various non-hazardous and hazardous materials within a warehouse and yard facility. The main duty will include but is not limited to picking and packing material, loading and unloading different transport items, recording inventory statuses, and making sure deliveries properly match purchase orders. You will maintain a current forklift certification and follow all company safety guidelines. This position requires patience and steadiness, along with a teamwork mentality. Duties/Responsibilities Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming and outgoing deliveriesLabel/Scan every product and put it away accordinglyIdentify, pull, and wrap the correct products per the customer's orderHandle returns by completing documentation and other required communicationKeep all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance and logsCycle counting and identifying any inventory issuesCommunicating issues that would include missing and/or damaged material as well as material that may have been pulled or received incorrectly.Keep work areas neat and tidyOther duties as assignedRequirements:Required Skills/Abilities :Follow all policies and procedures in the yard including sales, inventory, and safetyParticipate in safety trainingProperly use and maintain equipmentLead by example, with first-hand knowledge of area of expertiseWorks well in a group settingWritten and verbal communication skillsAbility to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously Qualifications :Forklift certificationKnowledge of operating other warehouse machineryExcellent time management and organizational skillsCritical thinking skills to quickly solve issues and/or problemsProficiency in prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlinesPhysical Requirements :· Ability to lift at least 50 pounds as needed throughout the day· Climb, kneel, reach, or bend throughout the day· Must wear safety gear, such as goggles and gloves, while performing work· Ability to operate all equipment on site as necessary· Able to withstand environmental temperatures.
